We can finally pack away our winter coats, open our windows and start to smell the fresh, spring air! However, for some of us this means allergy season is here. Are you or anyone in your family suffering itchy, red and tearing eyes? Well, you’re not alone with over 50 million Americans who are bothered by some type of allergy, including ocular allergies.
Various pollen released from grasses, trees and other plants usually cause seasonal allergic conjunctivitis. Aside from the symptoms described above, your eyes may also become puffy, burn and sometimes are light sensitive as well.
At Spectacles, we aggressively treat ocular allergy with new and innovative medications and carefully monitor your progress.
When outdoors, please be sure to wear your Polarized sunglasses as they not only protect your eyes from the harmful UV rays of the sun, but act as a shield against the airborne pollen surrounding our every day lives.
Have a great season and please call the office if we can be of any assistance. We want to help protect your eyes and vision.
